(2) three-hour virtual sessions, $300 per person
In this series, participants will learn best practices for supporting transgender, non-binary, and gender-expansive (TNGE) young people in schools. Using group discussion, interactive activities, and an intersectional framework, the facilitators will guide learners in understanding foundational terminology, recognizing anti-trans misinformation/disinformation campaigns, and building safer learning environments. By the end of the series, participants will have a concrete Action Plan and access to the Trans Affirming Schools Project Resource Guide.
Target Audience: K-12 teachers, educators, faculty, and staff
Trainer: Jaymie Campbell, PhD
This training series left me feeling more confident and empowered in my work! I thought that the mix of spending time learning from our passionate and knowledgeable educator while also getting to have conversations together as participants and to share our knowledge with one another was a great and effective model.
